Sponsored Video: Everyone Has A Price

Similar to the Million Dollar Man, Ted Dibiase, I've always believed that everyone has a price. It doesn't always have to be a dollar amount. It can also come in the form of an emotional attachment, like your favourite toy, your smelly baby pillow, or someone/something that you love.

For the longest time, I've always been challenging other humans at the dinner table to try to find their tipping point. When ever there is some left over spicy/salty/sour/tasteless food or condiments left on the center of the table, you can bet your last dollar I will ask this question:

"$50 to finish this bowl of vinegar/sauce/dried chilli."

The price, of course, varies depends on the difficulty of the dish.

$20 to finish this bowl of lime juice? Anyone? No?
$50 if it has been used at least once round the table.

It's always interesting to listen to humans when they say that no amount of money in the world would make them do a thing.Well, maybe it's true that they would not be wavered by money, but as my favourite villian of all time would say: "People are only as good as the world allows them to be."

Don't believe me? I bet I could convince you to drink this same bowl of lime water for just $10.

Now, under normal circumstances, I believe that not many people would agree to drink this bowl of lime water for just $10. That's just because they do not see value in that measly $10.

But if I were to change the bet to $100, I believe some of you may start considering it. What if I were to up the ante to $1000? At this price, I would personally gulp down the entire bowl without a second thought. That's because you see the worthiness in the transaction. Basically, you feel that you're getting a good deal out of it.

Now, let's say I set up a challenge booth in the middle of Orchard Road, and I place 3 bowls of liquids in front of you:

$2 to drink a bowl of this

$5 to drink a bowl of this

and $10 to drink a bowl of this

I'm quite certain there will be a lot more participants willing to relieve me of my $10 bills.
Your brain has been officially hacked. I've give you a moment for that to sink in.

Bets can come in all shapes and sizes. The most common of course is in the form of monetary rewards. But what happens when you already have more money than you can spend? Do bets still take place? You bet they do. Watch how these gentlemen raise the stakes by putting an entire boat on the line... For a dance, no less. Good music, good entertainment and good beverages have always gone hand in hand with one another.

Now that's what I call a classy wager. And do you know what else is classy? Check out that exquisite bottle of Johnny Walker Blue Label that they are enjoying. Only the rarest whiskies are used in the blending of a Johnny Walker Blue Label, with only 1 in 10,000 casks containing whisky of sufficient character to deliver that remarkably smooth signature taste.

That's why each one hand picked by the Johnny Walker Master Blender himself.

Check out Johnny Walker's Website to learn more about the individually numbered bottles of Johnny Walker Blue Label.

I don't have a boat, but would anybody want to wager me something for my collection of shoes?
